1776 Bennington Flag Features
Fade Resistant, 200 Denier SolarMax Nylon – Sturdy and Tough
Dense, pure white embroidered stars. Specific historic design is used with the style of the star and number. Our stars, stripes and 76 numbers are not printed! SolarMax Nylon is strong, durable and fade resistant but lightweight enough to fly in a gentle breeze.We use aniline dye to produce bright and vibrant colors of red, white and blue.Stars and number are embroidered directly onto the fabric on the front, therefore the number is a “mirror image” on the flag backside.
Lock Stitched Sewn Seams and Hems – Strength and Durability
Our 1776 Bennington Flag has fully sewn seams and hems, using lock stitching. Many flags are sewn using a less expensive chain stitch, which can lead to unraveling of the seams. By using lock stitching on our flags, the upper and lower threads are “locked” or entwined together to form a secure bond.The lock stitching continues on the fly end of the flag. The fly end is the part of the flag that flies freely in the wind. Because of the stress that is put on the end of the flag, we put four rows of lock stitching for durability.
Solid Brass, Rolled Rim Grommets – Strong and Reliable
On the left or hoist side of the flag, is a white strip of durable fabric called the flag header. The header is strong and made from a heavy duty blend of cotton-polyester Army duck cloth.The header needs to be strong since we insert two solid brass grommets into the header. The grommets are used to attach or fasten your flag to your existing flag pole hardware.The header and grommets receive a lot of stress from wind and weather. The fabric, header and grommets provide durable long lasting performance.
